This rifle is a sporterized military surplus rifle that has had a new stock put on it that was (most likely) hand made for this gun. Most of the time a sporterized rifle is pretty poorly done or just neglected. This example was actually done with some taste. The barrel has been cut down by a couple inches so that it could be recrowned, the entire rifle has been given a gloss blue finish which still looks fairly decent with minor wear here and there. It even has a decorative floor plate on the magazine. This is a fairly decent starting rifle for someone wanting to get hunting with a good cartridge and a rifle that was built to last.
