Anyone wanting to get into Cowboy Action Shooting competitions has been told about the Ruger Blackhawk and Vaquero line of pistols. This is going to be a perfect starter setup for Cowboy Action. The pistol is in great mechanical shape with some areas on the finish showing that it has been holstered and un-holstered a decent amount. It has been shot a fair amount but the Ruger Blackhawk is an extremely durable revolver that is virtually impossible to ‘wear out’. The holster this comes with is made by JR Andrews out of Grassville, Arkansas. It has places for keeping ammo as well as a pouch and a custom made knife sheath. The holster itself has a leather loop for putting over your hammer so that the gun doesn’t bounce out when walking, running or doing other activities. The knife is a no name brand and seems to be one that was modified to be a good throwing blade. While it is pretty sharp, the overall quality of the knife itself tells me it is definitely not a handmade product.
